Positive Early Dental Experiences
At Lacombe Park Dental, we're committed to helping kids feel comfortable visiting the dentist so their smiles can get a healthy start.
We understand that a trip to the dentist can be intimidating for young ones. To help your child feel comfortable with the care we provide, our team will explain each step in age-appropriate language, work at your child's pace, and take breaks if your child becomes overwhelmed.
Our team believes that by maintaining a relaxed and welcoming environment throughout the treatment process, we help to make oral healthcare a positive part of your child's routine.
Over the years, we will look forward to watching your child grow as we teach them about caring for their teeth and provide the protective and restorative treatments they need along the way.
We would be proud to call ourselves your child's dental team.
Your Partner in Caring for Your Child's Smile
We’re here to support parents, too! Our team of dental professionals provide essential guidance on brushing, nutrition, and habits to help protect your child’s developing smile at home.
Dental Services for Kids
Parents should monitor their baby’s oral health at home and watch for signs such as unusual swelling in the mouth, dark spots or holes in the teeth, or difficulty eating. We can provide guidance on how to care for your infant’s mouth and help establish healthy habits, so they are ready for their first dental examination around two and a half to three years of age. In some cases, toddlers who have older siblings may become interested in visiting the dentist at an earlier age and may be excited to attend an appointment sooner.
Preventive Dental Hygiene
Regular exams and cleanings when your child is young help preserve their primary teeth until the time is right for them to be replaced by the permanent teeth. At each appointment, we look for developing issues, review proper oral hygiene techniques, and recommend preventive measures if your child is at risk for decay.
Restorative Dental Services
If your child develops a cavity or chips a tooth, your dentist may also recommend restorative treatments such as dental fillings.
